Mohammad Mo'in
Mohammad Mo`in (Born 1918 Rasht, Iran) was one of the prominent masters of Persian literature and Iranology. Mohammad Moin received his BA in literature and philosophy in 1934. He then moved to Belgium and graduated in practical psychology, anthropology and Brain sciences under Elmer Knowles. He then returned to Iran and enrolled in the PhD program at Tehran University and received his PhD with honour in Persian literature and linguistics. He is the first doctoral graduate in Persian literature from Tehran University. Prof Dr. Moin become distinguished full professor and the chair of Literary criticism and research in literary texts at Tehran University. Dr Moin is known for his works on Persian dictionary in collaboration with Dehkhoda. Dr Moin was also the head of Literature commission in the International Congress of Iranology. He died in 1971.
